The Phoenix and Turtle belong to two of the four most spiritual auspicious animals in Chinese traditional beliefs. A phoenix is perching on a Chinese parasol tree and a turtle is on the floor holding and biting some grains (He Sui in Chinese) in its mouth. As "Sui" (Grains) has similar pronunciation to "Rui" (meaning good fortune and good luck and being auspicious), the combination of the Phoenix, Turtle and the Grains will form the auspicious image of the Phoenix and Turtle presenting good fortune and good luck (Feng Gui Xian Rui in Chinese).

The Dog's fortune is at a low down this year. There are many obstacles and problems at work with the tendency to provoke the attention of hypocrites. Have to be cautious of getting into trouble with the law, it will be useful to display a pair of the dark yellow colored "Feng Gui Xian Rui" auspicious symbolic ornament at the East direction or location to drive away the bad fortune and to enhance the good fortune.
